For College Paintball Players
If your college or university already has a paintball club, congrats! The hardest part has already been done, you're next step is to click here. If not....
The first thing you should do is find out if there is an existing paintball club at your college. If there is, this means all the setup work has been done for you and all you have to do is show up and lend a hand at keeping things going. The first place you should look is the NCPA College Clubs List. If you don't find your school listed there, check your college's list of registerred student organizations, as there is a chance your school's club hasn't found the NCPA webpage yet. If you do find an existing club there, encourage them to list themselves on this website so other students at your college, sponsors, and local fields can find them as well.
If you determine that there is not currently a club at your school, that means you'll have to start one. First you should check the NCPA College Player's Directory, which lists students at colleges who are interested in starting a club at their school. You should make sure to list yourself, and if there is anyone else at your school with a listing, get in contact with them about setting up a club. This is *MUCH* easier to do with more than one person, (some schools even require more than one to start a club) and they may have already done quite a bit of the legwork themselves.
After you've done that, you should read up on MTU President Russ Sterbner's "Starting a college club" article. This will get you headed in the right direction. If you have any questions, feel free to post them on the webboard or mail one of the NCPA contacts.
If you are interested in TOURNAMENT paintball, you should check out the NCPA "Competitions and Regional Leagues" section.
